Payback Time

Author's Note: For Reading, we had to pick a book of our choice, and write a retelling of the story. The story I chose is called Payback Time, and it is written by Carl Deuker.

High school reporter and writer for the monthly school newspaper, Mitch, gets moved down to sports after getting rejected as editor of the newspaper.  He covers the school’s football team, where he discovers some secrets early on.  For example, one player is not noticed for his outstanding arm. Does coach know about this? Mitch digs deep into the story, hoping to become one of the bigger stories in a long time. But in the process, he gets involved in much more.
